Freezing Point and Viscosity: The freezing point of the coolant should be lower than the minimum temperature of the working environment to prevent freezing. At the same time, the viscosity of the coolant should be moderate to facilitate flow and uniform distribution.

Boiling Point and Decomposition Temperature: The boiling point of the coolant should be higher than the working temperature to avoid evaporation or decomposition at high temperatures, which would affect the cooling effect.

Corrosiveness: The coolant should not be corrosive to avoid damaging equipment and pipelines. Corrosiveness can usually be reduced by adding corrosion inhibitors.

Flammability, Toxicity, and Cost: The coolant should be non-flammable and non-toxic or low-toxicity to ensure operational safety. Additionally, the cost of the coolant is also a consideration.
